Award Winning Wedding Venue Established Since 1996
Having hosted over 300 exclusive weddings during two decades, Priory Barn is one of the original wedding venues in Suffolk, having won the ‘BALE Award’ in 1998 for the best alternative land enterprise. We offer exclusive use of the venue and grounds for your wedding day, and only offer a limited number of weddings per year to ensure that your wedding is special and unique to both you and us.
Priory Barn and its grounds are famous as Cavendish Auction House in BBC’s Lovejoy where it was filmed on location for a decade. It is situated on an award winning arable farm 2 miles from the Mediaeval village of Lavenham, another frequently used location for TV and film including Harry Potter.
Priory Barn is a traditional, Mediaeval Suffolk timber framed rustic barn situated on a working arable farm dating from 1450. Priory Barn’s untouched beauty lies in its historic setting combined with modern facilities including heating, a spacious caterers kitchen and disabled facilities. Its romantic setting sets it apart from modernised barns affording brides the opportunity to create their own bespoke experience.
Out of 300 weddings held at Preston Priory Barn, one of the many compliments we frequently receive other than the glorious setting, is the appreciativeness of having the owner of the business available all day to offer a wealth of experience, guidance and advice to ensure the couple have their dream day.
Please call us to discuss your requirements and we will be happy to provide you with a detailed breakdown of the cost of your wedding and what is included.
